As I reported yesterday, Jim Farley, Vice President of Ford went on the record to say that the on-board computer system built into Ford vehicles can monitor and track your movements and even transmit data back to Ford that tells them when you are breaking the speed limit.
Well he’s changed his mind…apparently Ford doesn’t keep a close eye on its customers. Back-peddling for all his worth, Farley now tells Jim Edwards from Business Insider:
“I absolutely left the wrong impression about how Ford operates. We do not track our customers in their cars without their approval or their consent,” he says. “The statement I made in my eyes was hypothetical and I want to clear this up.”
